The Kentucky Wildcats are now focusing on the class of 2025 as Mark Pope and his team embark on their first full recruiting cycle in Lexington.

Fortuitously, Kentucky boasts two top-30 prospects in this class.

While 5-star guard Jasper Johnson is already well-known among BBN, fans should also pay attention to 4-star center Malachi Moreno.

Jack Pilgrim of KSR reports that Moreno is visiting Lexington today to watch the Wildcats practice alongside Johnson.

Moreno, a 6-foot-11, 230-pound center from Georgetown, has gained significant attention in recruiting over the past year, receiving offers from Kentucky, Indiana, Alabama, Louisville, Baylor, North Carolina, among others. The Wildcats might be gaining ground with the new staff in Lexington.

Coach Pope has emphasized the importance of retaining top in-state talent, and securing commitments from Johnson and Moreno would reinforce this objective.

Currently, Moreno is considered a 4-star prospect in the class of 2025 and is ranked as the No. 28 player according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings.
