Sylvester Namo, a forward for the Castleford Tigers, will go before a tribunal on Tuesday night and could potentially face a lengthy punishment after being accused of a Grade F offense after their Challenge Cup loss to Wigan.
For an incident that occurred during the first half of the Tigers’ crushing defeat on Sunday afternoon, Namo has been charged with Grade F Dangerous Contact. Should he be found guilty, he might miss at least five games.
Not only does he face a lengthy punishment following a Grade E Head Contact accusation, but Bayley Sironen is another player who will also be appearing before a tribunal. After an incident during Catalans’ Challenge Cup loss to Huddersfield Giants, he was charged.
This weekend, Hull KR will also be without forward Sauaso Sue, who was charged with Grade B Dangerous Contact during Hull KR’s Challenge Cup quarterfinal victory against Leigh Leopards.
Sue is entitled to an appeal, and she has until tomorrow at noon to file one.
The entire list of offenses for this week:
The following: Sauaso Sue (Hull KR) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty; Bayley Sironen (Catalans Dragons) – Grade E Head Contact – Refer to Tribunal; Sylvester Namo (Castleford Tigers) – Grade F Dangerous Contact – Refer to Tribunal
