The South Sydney Rabbitohs are happy to reveal their team for the ANZAC Round eight of the 2024 NRL Premiership, which will take place at AAMI Park on Thursday, April 25, at 7:50 p.m., on ANZAC Day, versus the Melbourne Storm.
Tyrone Munro is hurt and has been replaced on the wing by Jacob Gagai, according to Rabbitohs Head Coach Jason Demetriou. Junior Tatola is hurt, and Shaquai Mitchell will start in the front row in his place. Peter Mamouzelos and Jai Arrow have joined the interchange bench, and Damien Cook is back in the hooker position.
In 2024, the Rabbitohs will commemorate the third year of their collaboration with the Royal Australian Navy by donning a unique jersey with a nautical motif during the ANZAC Round. The jersey is a symbol of our unwavering dedication to the ideals of mateship, excellence, teamwork, and achievement that we share with the Royal Australian Navy.
The 2024 ANZAC Jersey proudly mirrors the Navy’s ‘sailor suits’ ceremonial uniform, similar to those worn by Royal Australian Navy personnel in the Second World War. Today, customary ‘sailor suits’ are reserved chiefly for ceremonial occasions, however, on those occasions when they are worn, they serve to remind Australians of the longevity of their Navy, its traditions and its consistent contribution to our nation’s maritime and economic security over more than 100 years.
$5 from every Rabbitohs ANZAC jersey sold through the Rabbitohs will be donated to Keeping Watch, a perpetual charitable fund that provides assistance to serving members of the Royal Australian Navy and their families who are in financial need.
