Barry Bannan, the captain of Sheffield Wednesday, expressed his “quiet confidence” in his ability to play against Huddersfield Town this coming Saturday.
In a crucial match at the bottom of the standings, the Owls take on their relegation rivals this afternoon at John Smith’s Stadium. If they lose, they might drop to eight points below them in 21st position.
Wednesday won’t likely be playing at full strength due to a number of recent concerns. Danny Röhl stated that there was a “big question” on some of his players in the lead-up to the match, and Bannan is undoubtedly one of the players they will have been keeping an eye on after he left the game before the conclusion of Wednesday’s 0-0 draw with Watford. The player himself is hoping that he’ll be okay.
Soon after the game, he told The Star, “I’m hoping that it was just a cramp.” “I believe I have a good understanding of my body, so I’m quietly optimistic that I’ll be fine for Saturday.”
“It’s a massive game, and it’s a difficult one now obviously because they sacked Darren – so there’s a caretaker in charge and we don’t know if he’ll change the team,” he stated in reference to the actual game. The scouting team and analysts find it challenging, but since Danny joined the team, we’ve excelled and become the best Sheffield Wednesday team.
“We’ll be sure to see a result if we can accomplish it. There are no simple ones, therefore this one is also difficult, but we must focus on ourselves and make sure we show up.
