In the nine Championship games that Coventry City still has left, as well as one FA Cup special occasion, Mark Robins is eager to unleash his international players this week.

The Sky Blues manager thinks his three players, who have been away representing their nations, should return with a bounce in their step after Haji Wright helped the USA defeat Mexico in the Concacaf Nations League and Joel Latibeaudiere and Kasey Palmer led Jamaica to third place in the competition, making them the first Caribbean team to ever place on the podium.
Wright was called up to the national team due to his outstanding club performance and an injury sustained by Norwich City striker Josh Sargent, while Ellis Simms, another City striker, has
had a respite during the international break and has also been performing at a high level lately, both of which are encouraging signs for the rest of the season.
With reference to his internationals, Robins stated, “I look forward to getting them back.” It’s excellent for each of them. Haji called me to let me know about his call-up, which is fantastic for him. He had an opening, so I advised him to seize it while he was still playing well and with confidence.
Prior to the international break, Ellis Simms and Wright combined for the winning goal against Wolves. Robins is hopeful that the pair’s and the team’s current play will instill a great deal of confidence in them, starting with Good Friday’s performance.
journey into Huddersfield.
Ellis’s performance (against the Wolves) is also not to be undervalued. To score two goals, that is… He missed a lot of opportunities in the first half of the game. He was there to score and to miss, but based on his reaction, it appeared that he was slightly blind. However, the two goals he scored were exceptional, and the way he moved to set up Haji for the winning goal was just incredible.
We have been discussing that movement and that set for a while now. Both in him and there it is. He just needs to do that naturally since it is ingrained in him. All he needs
to consider how he accomplished it.
But in the end, he’s playing for free, and that’s one of the main things that can help immensely as a player if you can reach that level.
Milan van Ewijk, who got back to form at Molineux by playing as a right winger higher up the pitch, is another player he feels is playing “free.”
The manager stated, “It was the same for Milan, who I thought played really well and looked a lot more free in his head.” “He was in good positions and put in some really good crosses, but he was unlucky not to take the chance that Sa saved.” In one instance, he did so quite cleverly.
for an attempt at a shot that Sa had blocked. Ellis would have scored again if a defender hadn’t simply taken it off his head after he put it back in.
“But there were some brilliant performances all through the team… Josh Eccles, Ben Sheaf, Kasey Palmer during his stint, and Callum O’Hare when he entered the game. When Torpy finished, Kitch, Bobby Thomas, and the bidders placed their crosses. Brad was very confident in the back and was unable to really influence the goals.
“Everyone had a fantastic time during the game, and we just need to carry that momentum into the upcoming block of games.”
