Myziane Maolida, a standout player for Hibernian, has been named Premiership Player of the Month for March.
The winger has been playing in incredible form while on loan from Hertha Berlin. He helped the Leith club get within striking distance of the Scottish Premiership top six last month by scoring four goals in as many games.
Maolida, 25, will attempt to make history by being the first Hibs player to score in five straight games since Christian Doidge in 2019. And on Saturday at Easter Road, when Nick Montgomery’s team hosts St Johnstone, he will get the opportunity to do so.
The Comoros international stated, “I played well and tried to help the team by doing my best,” in a statement following the award. I’m grateful for this award, and I hope to win Premiership Player of the Month once more.
“I’m happy to play for Hibs and I’m enjoying my football here.” I’m hoping to keep going in this manner so we can win our upcoming games.
