Jane Schoenbrun’s latest psychological horror, acclaimed as one of this year’s standout films, delves into the unsettling world of teenage fandom. Owen (played by Justice Smith) and Maddy (portrayed by Brigette Lundy-Paine) form a bond fueled by their shared passion for the YA series “The Pink Opaque.” Years later, as the burdens of adulthood weigh heavily on them, Maddy resurfaces in Owen’s life, offering an enticing escape into the show’s fictional universe. The Time Warp Drive-In returns with a lineup of ’80s sci-fi classics under the theme “Weird Realms.” Featuring “Flash Gordon,” “The Dark Crystal,” and Ridley Scott’s “Legend,” this cinematic journey promises mind-bending visuals and unforgettable storytelling.
