After UConn’s 75-60 victory over Purdue in the national championship game on Monday, Bill Murray proudly lifted the NCAA trophy on stage. This marked his second consecutive year joining the celebrations, as his son Luke, an assistant coach for UConn, played a pivotal role in the team’s dominant tournament run, culminating in their sixth title in program history.

Following the 15-point victory, the Ghostbusters star shared a special moment with Luke before taking center stage to raise the coveted trophy. Murray then handed it back to Luke, acknowledging his son’s contributions.

During the game, when the jumbotron alternated between Murray and Purdue alum Drew Brees, the actor showed his support for UConn. Murray engaged in a friendly flex-off with the NFL star during a timeout in the second half, much to the delight of the crowd, as they traded poses on the big screen.
