In Saturday’s 4-3 setback for New York, Rangers rookie Matt Rempe engaged in combat for the fourth time since making his NHL debut last month, this time with Maple Leafs right wing Ryan Reaves.

With 5:59 remaining in the third period, the 21-year-old, 6-foot-7 forward and Reaves threw down their gloves in a furious brawl. Reaves has previously participated in three fights in games against the Devils, Flyers, and Islanders.

With their left hands clasping each other’s shirt, they traded right hooks.

The spectators in Scotiabank Arena went crazy when the battle, which lasted almost a minute and saw neither player fall on the ice, ended without a clear winner.

The 6-foot-8, 245-pound Rempe put on a great show against the former Ranger Reaves. However, the 37-year-old, 226-pound NHL veteran also had a strong performance.
The game-winning goal in a shootout was scored by Max Domi, who was pleased by the players’ toughness.

He declared, “Hardest job in the game” on his 29th birthday. Nothing comes close to that at all. In addition, Much respect to those two individuals.

John Tavares, a forward for the Maple Leafs who also scored, called the incident a “throwback,” alluding to the times in the 1980s and 1990s when players would frequently get into fights during games.
