At the Etihad during their Last-16 match against Copenhagen, the 25-year-old dislocated his finger.
Regarding the incident, TNT pundit Darren Fletcher stated, “His finger was bent grotesquely.”

As soon as the City medical team arrived on the field, they quickly replaced his finger.

Even with the wound bandaged, he was unable to continue and was replaced right away.

Micah Hamilton, a young man, took his place.
Understandably, fans were quite aback by how seriously Nunes’ finger appeared.

“I hate to see any player down in such distress,” one person wrote. Nunes’s injury is quite startling. I hope you heal quickly and send you my warmest wishes.”

Apart from Nunes’ injury, Pep Guardiola’s night was almost flawless.

After just five minutes, Manuel Akanji had given City the lead 1-0 with a beautiful volley that came direct from a corner by Julian Alvarez.

Four minutes later, Alvarez himself found himself on the scoresheet when his effort flew past the Copenhagen goalkeeper.

The visitors’ deficit was quickly halved by Mohamed Elyounoussi, but Man City quickly regained the lead.

To make it 3-1, Erling Haaland scored his sixth Champions League goal of the year. In addition, it matched Sergio Aguero’s career record as his 41st goal in Europe’s premier league.

City easily advanced to the quarterfinals without adding to their total in the second half.the triple-dream still afloat.
