Elite quarterback Keisean Henderson from Spring (Texas) Legacy the School of Sport Sciences has declared his commitment to Houston, a significant win for head coach Willie Fritz. Standing at 6-3 and weighing 175 pounds, Henderson is hailed as one of the top athletes in the class of 2026. Among numerous offers from prestigious schools like Baylor, Oklahoma, and LSU, Henderson opted for Houston due to its familial atmosphere and the strong relationships he has developed with coaches Fritz and Bell.

Coach Bell’s initial offer at Baylor and Coach Fritz’s previous mentorship with Henderson’s high school coach were pivotal factors in his decision. Henderson’s impressive sophomore season, where he amassed over 1,500 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, and just three interceptions with a completion rate of 63.3%, underscores his talent.

The newest top-ranked athlete in the 2026 class has gained significant recognition on the 7-on-7 circuit, often seen wearing his distinctive Davy Crockett raccoon-skin cap while excelling at wide receiver and safety. Keisean Henderson’s standout performances have earned him accolades at nearly every tournament, showcasing his exceptional leaping ability and knack for making difficult catches.

Gabe Brooks, a national scouting analyst for 247Sports, believes Henderson’s versatility allows him to excel at multiple positions, but sees his potential as a quarterback as particularly intriguing. Despite not possessing elite testing numbers, Henderson’s on-field performance speaks volumes. While quarterback may present a steep learning curve, his combination of arm strength, mobility, and athleticism sets him apart as a unique and high-potential prospect.
