Amateur Rugby League Update: Hindpool continue their streak of victories

HINDPOOL Tigers continued their unbeaten league streak with a 44-10 win against Wigan Springview at Brisbane Park, holding a 12-6 lead at halftime.
The first 40 minutes were closely contested, but in the second half, the Tigers hit their stride and dominated. They scored eight tries compared to Wigan’s two, with points from Harley Bradley Allen, Daryll Archer, Jack Stevens, Tom Heighton, Grant Burns, Paul Rickleton, Jack Osman, and Ryan Kyte, who also kicked six goals. This victory marked the Tigers’ sixth consecutive win, maintaining their perfect record.
Dalton drew with Hindley in their away fixture, finishing level at 30-30 after trailing 18-10 at halftime.
It was nip and tuck with the home side leading 30-28 with time almost up when Harry Gordon was impeded in the tackle allowing Pat Kelly to bring the scores level with the penalty goal.

Tries for the Kelland Park side came from Joe Crarey (2),Ross Bird, Dan Knott and Zac Steel with Kelly adding five goals in total.
Jordan Jones was awarded the man of the match.
Askam fell short in their quest for the first away victory in the Cumberland League, going down 16-14 at Ellenborough Rangers ‘A’.
The Villagers were ahead 14-10 with six minutes remaining, but conceded a try and conversion.
It was a close encounter with the final score always in doubt.
Tries for Askam came from Luke McIntee, Jude Everett McNamara and Joey Blowers with Lewis Stables adding one conversion.
In the Conference Second Division, Barrow Island lost narrowly to Ellenborough 24-26 at the John Jefferson Stadium.
The West Cumbrian outfit crossed for a late try to seal victory after taking an early 12-0 lead.
Tries for the Island came from teenager Brad Warne, Carl McBain, Will Sweet and Declan Baines with Sam Jones adding four conversions.
There was no joy either for Millom whose young team went down 28-6 at Dewsbury Celtic.
Jack Blinkhorn crossed for a try, with Lee Postlethwaite adding the conversion.
