As Angel Reese gears up for the WNBA draft on Monday, she enjoyed a lively game at Madison Square Garden. The LSU standout, poised to become a rookie in the professional league and expected to be selected in the first round, took a courtside seat to witness the Knicks’ 111-107 victory over the Nets on Friday night.

On Friday, Reese was spotted practicing NBA-range 3-pointers at Summit, a renowned gym in New York. Additionally, she took part in a pre-draft “shift” at Raising Cane’s in Manhattan, expressing her enthusiasm for her upcoming basketball career. In an interview with The Post’s Bridget Reilly, Reese shared her excitement about joining the WNBA as a rookie, acknowledging the accomplished players who have come before her and the impact they’ve had on the sport. She emphasized her respect for the veterans and the growing popularity of the game, especially on social media platforms. Reese’s skills were highlighted by a video showing her consistently knocking down NBA-range 3-pointers.

Reese is among the 15 players invited to attend the draft at the Brooklyn Academy of Music on Monday, alongside notable prospects like Caitlin Clark from Iowa and Kamilla Cardoso from South Carolina. Standing at 6-foot-3, Reese played a pivotal role in LSU’s 2023 National Championship victory and their recent advancement to the Elite Eight in the past season.

Reese’s stellar performance earned her recognition as the SEC Player of the Year this season, averaging 18.6 points, 13.4 rebounds, 1.9 steals per game, and shooting 47 percent from the field.
