In the most recent episode of his podcast, “New Heights,” the NFL player talked about how he lost out on a significant win at the race event.

After losing in this year’s Kentucky Derby, Travis Kelce is expressing his frustration.

The 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs player disclosed on the most recent episode of his podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, which was released on Wednesday, May 8, that he “almost won” $100,000 at the yearly horse racing event in Louisville over the weekend.

Travis said to his brother and fellow host Jason Kelce, “I was a nose away from winning that f—ing thing, dude,” while disclosing that he wagered “a little bit” on Number 2 and Number 11 to win the race at Churchill Downs.

“I have never done this before. I didn’t delve too much into that, said Travis. “If that thing was even close, I just wanted to f—-ing throw down the money I brought in there on like one horse and get f—-ing pumped.” And sure enough, you see that monstrosity… come up as you turn the bend.”

Travis disclosed, “I nearly won a $100,000 Kentucky Derby off a Japanese horse. He joked, “Do you think America would have shamed me for that?”

Jason, 36, continued, “I’m shaming you right now, dude.” Do you wager on a Japanese equine? What’s the horse’s name?”

Singing “Forever Young,” Travis showcased his vocal prowess.

On Saturday, May 4, Travis was seen at the renowned race among a number of other famous people, including as Jimmy Fallon, who posted a video of his encounter with Travis on Instagram.

The NFL player looked dapper in a white pinstripe suit, navy-blue fedora hat, matching tie, and his trademark diamond hoops earrings. He attended the race event without girlfriend Taylor Swift.

The official Kentucky Derby account published an Instagram photo featuring Travis, who disclosed that Patrick Christopher designed his spectacular Derby look. The post showed Travis leaping up and down with excitement and clapping as he took in the action on the race course.

The caption for the video said, “When your first bet wins and you show up to the Kentucky Derby.”

A second caption for the photo said, “@killatrav off to a hot start at the Kentucky Derby.”

Kelce made sure to attend his buddies The Chainsmokers’ performance the day before the Derby, which was part of the Sports Illustrated Revel at the Races concert in Louisville.

Following his Derby attendance, on Sunday, May 5, he made an appearance at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami. There, he was seen getting a friendship bracelet from a fan, a nod to his girlfriend Swift’s iconic Eras Tour piece.
