These players have been unavailable to Rowett during his first four games in charge. Jutkiewicz, in particular, has been missed due to his physical presence and scoring ability.

Despite not being able to play, Jutkiewicz has traveled with the squad to recent matches and has been seen participating in pre-match activities. Rowett provided this injury update following Birmingham City’s defeat to Cardiff, indicating that Jutkiewicz, Burke, and Roberts are still sidelined.

Gary Rowett has stuck with the same starting lineup for the past three games, but following the disappointing result against Cardiff, he may consider making changes. With Birmingham City currently sitting in 23rd place in the Championship, facing relegation unless they can turn their fortunes around in the final four games, Rowett acknowledges the need for potential adjustments.

He commented, “Of course, at this stage of the season, when you perform like that, there’s always going to be an opportunity potentially to make quite a few changes. We have tried to keep the same team, a team I felt could win games of football. We didn’t perform to that level and after trying to get that consistency and continuity I think it’s maybe the time to look at whether people get an opportunity.”

Apart from the trio previously mentioned—Marc Roberts, Oliver Burke, and Lukas Jutkiewicz—Lee Buchanan was forced off against Cardiff due to a groin injury, while long-term absentee Alfie Chang remains unavailable.
