Even with Nick Walker’s ascent to prominence in the bodybuilding world, he maintains a surprisingly relatable perspective on gym experiences. In a recent YouTube video, Walker candidly addressed his significant gym pet peeves and emphasized the significance of observing proper etiquette during workouts.

Renowned for his impressive muscle mass and outstanding conditioning, Nick Walker has emerged as one of the most identifiable figures in modern bodybuilding. His remarkable achievements, such as securing a notable third-place finish at the 2022 Mr. Olympia, have firmly established him as a formidable force in the division.

After an impressive performance on bodybuilding’s grandest stage, Nick Walker set his sights on securing a second Arnold Classic title in 2023. Despite showcasing his formidable physique often dubbed as ‘The Mutant,’ he encountered stiff competition and ultimately earned a second-place finish, with Samson Dauda displaying a superior physique and aesthetics at the event.

Although falling short in his pursuit of a second Arnold Classic title, Nick Walker remained undeterred, redirecting his focus towards the 2023 Mr. Olympia with unwavering confidence, believing it was his moment to shine. Unfortunately, just days before the competition, Walker faced a setback as he suffered a hamstring tear, compelling him to withdraw from the event. This unexpected injury dealt a blow to his aspirations of contending for the Mr. Olympia title, marking a challenging chapter in his bodybuilding journey.

Nick Walker discusses some of the things at the gym that bother him.

Presently, Nick Walker has returned to the gym, focusing on intense leg workouts. In a recent YouTube video, he divulged the aspects that frustrate him during his efforts to achieve an effective muscle pump.

“My major annoyance is when someone is using their phone on a piece of equipment I want to use. It’s not so much the act itself that bothers me, but when I approach them and ask, ‘Excuse me, how many more sets do you have?’ They casually respond, ‘Oh, I’ve got one or two,’ and then go back to texting without making any effort to finish their set. I’m left wondering if they actually plan on doing a set, as I stand there waiting.”

At first, Nick Walker adopts a polite tone, but if he’s forced to wait, he doesn’t hesitate to express his frustration more assertively.

“Sometimes I do [give them attitude]. For instance, if someone is using a chest press that I want to use and they’re engrossed in their phone, I approach them politely, asking, ‘How many more sets do you have?’ Regardless of their response, if I notice them immediately going back to texting without starting their set, I’ll say, ‘Hey, do your set!’ That’s when I start expressing my frustration.” Walker explained.

Walker doesn’t disapprove of individuals using their phones to quickly change or shuffle a song.

In the 2024 season, Walker is dedicated to recuperating from a substantial hamstring and calf injury that has had a notable impact on his career. Having allowed his body the essential time for healing and growth, fans are anxiously anticipating the unveiling of the most formidable Nick Walker when he eventually decides to make his return to the stage.

The 2024 Mr. Olympia competition is set to take place from October 10-13 in Las Vegas, Nevada, marking the 60th anniversary of the prestigious event. Having not achieved a top-three finish in the prior year’s competition, Walker is now confronted with the task of either winning a Pro show or securing a special invitation in order to qualify for the esteemed stage.
