In the second leg of their Champions League quarterfinal matchup against Atletico Madrid, which takes place at Signal Iduma Park on Tuesday night, Borussia Dortmund may be without Sebastian Haller, their goal scorer at the Civitas Metropolitano on Wednesday.

After taking a blow on the same foot that had been injured lately, the Ivorian striker had to be substituted out of Dortmund’s match against Borussia Monchengladbach after just ten minutes of play.

According to MD, sporting director Sebastian Kehl described the situation as “extremely unfortunate” and suggested that Dortmund did not have high hopes for Haller’s availability on Tuesday. “He hopes Haller is not out for too long,” head coach Edin Terzic stated to the reporters.

At least there is some positive news for the Bundesliga heavyweights: English winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens was also out due to a back ailment. However, the article mentions that Dortmund is more hopeful of having him available against Atletico Madrid.
