Angel Reese, a standout player for LSU women’s basketball, is expected to be chosen in the first round of the WNBA draft, which takes place in Brooklyn, New York, on Monday.
Although it’s unclear which team will select Reese, mock drafts almost universally predict that the former Maryland transfer will be selected outside of the first five picks.
Six-foot-3 forward Reese won the 2023–24 SEC Player of the Year award the season after she helped LSU win the national title. Recognized as one of the best rebounders in the country, she finished second in the country with 13.4 rebounds per game.
During her four years on the college level, Reese averaged 18.6 rebounds, 12.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks.
