Even though Sheffield United performed better away at Europe-chasing Wolves, they missed the opportunity to climb off the bottom of the table.
Chris Wilder expressed his frustration that his Sheffield United team was unable to produce the “quality” moment necessary to defeat Wolves yesterday.

Pablo Sarabia’s header in the first half of the match at Molineux proved to be the winning goal for his team, but it came just moments after James McAtee wasted the best opportunity of the match, with Jose Sa easily saving his meek shot after Gus Hamer’s brilliant pass had set him up one on one.

After coming back into the starting lineup, Rhian Brewster also put Sa to the test in both halves, but despite a particularly strong second half showing, United was unable to find a way back into the game. After losing to Brighton 5-0 at home the previous weekend, it was a solid response, but it left Wilder conflicted.
He declared, “There are no issues with the team’s personality or character.” “You’re facing a team that just defeated Chelsea, defeated Spurs away from home, and ought to have something against Manchester United.”

They have some excellent players, excellent management, and excellent coaching after beating Spurs and coming away with a fantastic outcome. It is against us. As a team, we are learning as we go. Our rivals have been constructing for some time.

“In the first half, we were competitive, and in the second, we exceeded expectations. In the second half, I looked more to my right than to my left, but we still don’t know the outcome.

“I find fault with the team in the pivotal and closing moments. We regained possession in enough good areas because we had enough territory and enough of the play. We also need to discover the same quality that they did at Chelsea and Tottenham in the first half.
