If West Ham hopes to break their losing streak on Monday night, they will need to overcome their Brentford curse.

The Hammers’ only victory over the Bees since 1993 came in the FA Cup third-round meeting last season. The Hammers have lost all five of their league games against Thomas Frank’s team.

After eight games without a victory, manager David Moyes is in urgent need of a win. After the team’s third straight loss against Nottingham Forest last weekend, some supporters demanded that he be fired, arguing that further criticism would come after a loss at home to Brentford.

The Scot has not yet signed a new contract, and his current one expires at the end of the current campaign.

However, the 60-year-old has emphasized that players must take accountability and that the club’s poor performance is not the result of uncertainty. Top scorer Jarrod Bowen agreed.
“We all understand that in order to change this difficult spell, we must rise up and face it,” he remarked.
I’m back to it today, and it’s my responsibility to help us win games after experiencing a minor ache in January.

“I have faith in this team’s ability, and I know that we can go on winning streaks when we play at our best.” It’s been challenging, but we just need to push through it because football has its ups and downs.

“He did an excellent job,” he remarked. Last year, they took home a trophy from Europe. Every team experiences a period of imperfect performance; perhaps West Ham is one of those teams.

Lucas Paqueta has been sidelined by the Hammers’ bad run, but he is expected to play tonight. Above all, West Ham needs to silence Ivan Toney. In his three prior league outings against them, he has scored twice.
On Monday night in the Premier League, West Ham takes on Brentford.

The Hammers have not won any of their five league meetings with Thomas Frank’s team.
