This afternoon, WIGAN WARRIORS defeated Castleford Tigers 60–6 in the Challenge Cup quarterfinal.

After twenty-three minutes, the Warriors led 28-0, virtually ending the game because Matt Peet’s team was superior.

It’s also reasonable to conclude that Peet was pleased with the effort and outcome on his team.

Peet stated, “It was a job well done; I thought we gave a decent performance, especially early in the game.”

“We played with good tempo and ball care in the early exchanges, which I thought was impressive.”

Peet did confirm that Willie Isa, the forward, was rushed to the hospital following a break and dislocation of his lower leg.

“Willie Isa broke his lower leg and dislocated it; he needs an x-ray.” The players’ response made it clear that it was a severe situation.

Peet isn’t concerned despite Harry Smith missing six conversions with the boot.

It’s not a panic, as Harry puts in a lot of effort. When he doesn’t score those goals from outside the area, he is never content.

“He’ll be eager to get better there.”

On Friday, Wigan will play Castleford again in Super League.

We won’t delve too far into this particular game. It’s more about us, and I believe that it will be important to try and duplicate specific aspects, especially our mindset at the beginning of the game.
