He might not want to be moved by the Hawks.

The hype around the NBA Trade Deadline is growing quickly. Dejoutte Murray, the guard for the Atlanta Hawks, is arguably the most well-known player available. He has been connected to teams like the Los Angeles Lakers on a regular basis. Bogdan Bogdanovic is another Hawks player whose name is being mentioned a lot. But according to Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype, the Hawks may choose to keep Bogdanovic in the city based on the most recent intelligence.

According to rival executives and league sources who have spoken with HoopsHype, “Bogdan Bogdanovic is one player with a big contract going forward that the Hawks seem to want to keep past the trade deadline, despite the goal of trimming future salary.”

Bogdanovic is another attractive talent, but Scotto implies that the Hawks don’t want to move him because Murray is the team’s focal point.

Hawks lack interest, but some teams could consider Bogdanovic

Regarding the Hawks and their plans for the deadline, many questions exist. Murray is the major man, but according to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, in his most recent trade deadline intelligence, Bogdanovic has been linked to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have shown interest in Hawks veteran Bogdan Bogdanovic in recent weeks, according to sources. But there’s a conflict between Bogdanovic’s contract and Minnesota’s cap predicament. Given that Kyle Anderson is in the final year of his deal, the Timberwolves have demonstrated a willingness to talk about his future in an effort to improve their roster.

After spending four seasons in Atlanta, Bogdanovic averages 17.1 points per game and shoots 37 percent from three-point range, making him a desirable option for clubs in contention. But as Siegel points out, the Timberwolves have difficulties in closing a deal, and Scotto’s suggestion that the Hawks wish to retain him won’t be of assistance either. There should be a rush of suitors vying for the shooting guard if they manage to relocate him.

As time goes on and February 8 draws nearer, there are an increasing number of rumors circulating. Whether or not it’s for Murray, it won’t be long before the Hawks pull off a blockbuster trade.
