Here are several lesser-known prospects from schools the Eagles should keep an eye on.

Rasheen Ali, Philadelphia Eagles draft

The Philadelphia Eagles’ journey didn’t unfold as expected. Initially promising with a 10-1 start, cracks in the team’s performance became evident. However, finishing with such a record was commendable. Yet, the season ended in disappointment as the team faltered. Now, the atmosphere feels markedly different compared to the previous offseason.

Confidence among fans and observers is noticeably diminished. Identified needs include a shortage in running back depth, with only one from last year’s roster signed for the upcoming season. Additionally, one of the young safeties is set to start the next season injured. Concerns also loom over the age of the starting outside cornerbacks. Pass rushers and linebacker reinforcements are also sought after to bolster the team’s defense.

The coming NFL Scouting Combine will provide opportunities to find young talent. We know who the stars are that will be in attendance. Let’s look at some guys who played at schools that we didn’t watch often last season.

The upcoming NFL Scouting Combine presents an opportunity to discover young talent, especially from lesser-known schools. Two such prospects to watch out for are Dylan Laube from New Hampshire and Rasheen Ali from Marshall, both running backs.

Dylan Laube may not be among the top ten tailbacks in this draft class, but he’s on the cusp for many. Standing at six feet one inch and weighing 225 pounds, he’s projected as a potential third-round pick and expected to run the 40-yard dash in about 4.5 seconds. His impressive stats from last season include 4.5 yards per carry, 715 yards rushing, 68 receptions, 699 yards receiving, and a total of 16 touchdowns.

Rasheen Ali is likely a day-three draft selection. Despite being overlooked by some, he boasts solid numbers with 5.4 yards per carry, 1,135 rushing yards, 15 rushing touchdowns, 28 receptions, 213 receiving yards, and an additional touchdown through the air. Standing at five feet eleven inches and weighing 204 pounds, Ali has the potential to make an impact.

Both Laube and Ali could address Philadelphia’s need for a reliable workhorse running back. Make note of their names and keep an eye on them during the combine. Also, be sure to check out other intriguing combine invitees.
