AC Milan may be in search of a replacement for Rafael Leao in the upcoming summer transfer window, with Leeds United potentially being the destination they explore.

Leao recently extended his contract at the San Siro, which includes a release clause of approximately £150 million that becomes active for a brief period in July.

With the transfer market poised for activity after a subdued January window, speculation arises about potential movements of key players. Real Madrid is reportedly confident in securing Kylian Mbappe from PSG, leaving PSG in need of a replacement.

According to reports from Foot Mercato, Milan’s Leao is a target for PSG, potentially leaving Milan with substantial funds to reinvest. However, Milan reportedly sees Leeds as the ideal source for Leao’s replacement.

Italian journalist Carlo Pellegatti suggested in a recent YouTube video that Milan is eyeing Luis Sinisterra as a replacement for Leao, potentially investing over £21 million for his acquisition. Pellegatti described Sinisterra as an exciting and technically skilled player who could fill Leao’s shoes effectively.

Sinisterra, currently on loan at Bournemouth from Leeds, appears unlikely to return to Leeds permanently due to the circumstances surrounding his departure. Despite strong reports suggesting Bournemouth’s interest in making the deal permanent, Sinisterra may keep his options open amid AC Milan’s reported interest.

As Sinisterra’s future unfolds, the prospect of AC Milan securing him as a replacement for Leao adds an intriguing dimension to the summer transfer window.
