Rimas Sports, the agency founded by music artist Bad Bunny, is facing disciplinary action from the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) following alleged violations.

Several reports surfaced on Friday indicating that multiple rival agencies lodged complaints with the players association regarding alleged infractions committed by Rimas Sports.

The agency, established in April 2023, stands accused of offering financial incentives, vehicles, and other inducements to persuade players to switch to their representation, actions that contravene the MLBPA’s regulations. These transgressions purportedly took place around the time of Rimas Sports’ inception.

William Arroyo, an agent associated with Rimas Sports, has had his certification revoked by the MLBPA. Additionally, the agency’s plans to certify other employees as agents have been thwarted, with those prospective agents anticipated to be denied certification.

Bad Bunny, known by his birth name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is a prominent music artist hailing from Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. The 30-year-old Grammy Award winner sought to leverage his musical renown to establish a sports agency, akin to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports venture.

Primarily targeting Latin American players, Bad Bunny’s agency has represented several young MLB players, including Ezequiel Tovar, the shortstop for the Colorado Rockies, who inked a lucrative $63.5 million contract extension in February.
