brand-new contract Nearing his Leeds Rhinos debut, Kieran Hudson will soon make his debut.

A January Achilles injury kept Hudson, who signed with Rhinos two months ago from Castleford Tigers, out of the 2023 campaign. Due to insufficient training field time, the 23-year-old prop is unlikely to play in Sunday’s preseason match against Bradford Bulls. However, coach Rohan Smith stated that he might be considered for Friday’s Harry Jepson OBE Memorial Trophy match against Hunslet.

That evening, Leeds will play with an academy/reserve lineup; two days later, Hull KR will host Smith’s first-choice lineup in James Donaldson’s testimonial game at AMT Headingley. On Friday, February 16, Rhinos host Salford Red Devils at home to start their Betfred Super League campaign.

For the trip to Odsal, Smith is probably going to select a younger back division and a more seasoned pack. The teams will play each other in three straight preseason games on Sunday, with the Rhinos winning the first two.
