Following the news of Bearwood Park’s possible sale, hundreds of Reading FC supporters demonstrated at Adams Park, home of Wycombe Wanderers.

The protest organization Sell Before We Dai has called on supporters of Reading and Wycombe to join them in a nonviolent demonstration.

The SBWD issued the following statement: “The Dais, Pang, and Couhigs still have time to act morally and halt the trade.

“In tandem, we and STAR will investigate every avenue to stop this sale from closing, including the possibility of forced administration if needed.

Potential investors have already been turned off by this asset stripping. Since the earlier agreement that the club would be sold as a single unit was broken, we will need to keep making noise.

On Thursday, rumors were circulating that Dayong Pang, the CEO of Reading FC, and Dai Yongge, the owner of the club, were almost certain to reach an agreement that would see them get approximately £25 million for selling Wycombe the Royals’ training base.

Just last week, it was revealed that the owner was “open” to proposals for the training facility unrelated to the club’s sale.

Following Yongge’s around £50 million investment in the construction of the new training facility, Reading relocated to Bearwood for the 2019–20 campaign.
