BREAKING NEWS: Geno Smith has a statement directed at those who criticize the Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks entered the 2023 season with confidence after qualifying for the playoffs in 2022.

They reportedly trusted Geno Smith to guide their team for another season since they locked him down with a contract deal.

Even though it was clear that the team and his players trusted him, things didn’t go as planned this season.

With a 9-8 record at the end of the regular season, the Seahawks fell just short of making the playoffs.

As a result, several of the team’s choices—including Smith’s position as their starting quarterback—were questioned by supporters and commentators.

Smith recently made a comment regarding the lack of respect supporters have for him and his teammates, suggesting that he has noticed this vitriol on social media.

Despite their disappointing season, he thinks the Seahawks will return next year because they worked hard this year.

Smith has experience with patience having served as Russell Wilson’s backup for a few years.

He bided his time as a bench warmer and seized the chance to start as soon as it presented itself.

He believes that in order to see what he can accomplish in 2024 and hope for better outcomes than this year, Seahawks supporters will have to wait and see.

Although this is conceivable, Smith will have formidable challenges if he hopes to succeed in 2024.

Since Pete Carroll has left the squad, getting along with their new head coach will be the largest challenge for him and his teammates.

Next season, will the Seahawks be able to play their way back into relevance?
