On Tuesday, Liam McNeeley, a winger from Montverde Academy (Fla.), who signed with Indiana, was selected a 2024 McDonald’s All-American.

The 6-foot-7 small forward joins Cooper Flagg and Derik Queen as the only two Montverde players selected for the McDonald’s All-American Game.

Liam McNeeley is currently ranked as the No. 16 prospect nationally in the senior class, according to the 247Composite. His inclusion in the McDonald’s All-American Game will make him the 34th recruit from Indiana to participate in this prestigious event. Notably, current Hoosiers Mackenzie Mgbako and Kel’el Ware also earned the distinction of being McDonald’s All-Americans.

The Indiana signee has been showcasing his skills on the court, averaging 13.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 0.9 steals this season. McNeeley has particularly excelled in perimeter shooting, connecting on a team-high 47 three-point attempts with an impressive 52.8 percent success rate from beyond the arc. Additionally, he boasts a 70 percent accuracy from the free-throw line and a 53.8 percent success rate on two-point shots.

McNeeley’s offensive contributions have predominantly come from the perimeter, with 57.7 percent of his 154 field goal attempts being three-pointers.

In his junior year, he led Montverde in scoring with an average of 12.4 points per game, along with four rebounds, 2.2 assists, and one steal per game.

Indiana coach Mike Woodson praised McNeeley, describing him as a smart basketball player with leadership qualities, skills, and high-level shooting abilities. Woodson emphasized McNeeley’s selfless approach to the game and his commitment to helping the team win.

The 2024 McDonald’s All-American Game is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, April 2, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The game will be televised on ESPN and is set to tip off at 9 p.m. ET.
