Jameis Winston, recently signed by the Cleveland Browns, revealed his motivation for joining the team. In a statement shared with Josina Anderson on Twitter, Winston expressed his eagerness to collaborate with Deshaun Watson and assist him in reaching his full potential.

Jameis Winston, the former first-overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft, also acknowledged his readiness to step in as the starter if necessary. Despite his willingness to take on the starting role, Winston emphasized his commitment to fulfilling his purpose and serving the team’s needs, prioritizing his faith above personal aspirations.

During his tenure with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2015 to 2019, Winston established himself as the starting quarterback. He earned a Pro Bowl selection in his rookie season and led the NFL in passing yards in 2019, amassing an impressive 5,109 yards. However, that same year, Winston also set a league record with seven of his 30 interceptions returned for touchdowns.

Following the 2019 season, the Buccaneers released Winston and subsequently signed Tom Brady. Winston then spent the past four years with the New Orleans Saints primarily as a backup quarterback.
