BREAKING NEWS: Jeff Dowdin Sr. 76ers signed the player.

March 2, 2024, PHILADELPHIA – Daryl Morey, President of Basketball Operations for the Philadelphia 76ers, announced today that Jeff Dowtin Jr. has signed a two-way contract with the team. The deal’s terms were not revealed in accordance with team policy.

He is leading the club in assists with 5.9 per game, averaging 18.1 points (38.4% 3FG), 3.1 rebounds, and 3.1 rebounds in 16 G League games this season with the 76ers’ affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats. Following a 25-point performance (9-17 FG, 4-8 3FG) against Greensboro on March 1, Dowtin Jr. recorded his fourth 20-point game in his previous five outings.

As a two-year professional, Dowtin Jr. has averaged 10.8 minutes per game, 2.4 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 34 games against Orlando, Milwaukee, Golden State, and Toronto. After the 2020 NBA Draft, Dowtin Jr. initially signed with the Lakeland Magic of the G League, where he helped the team win the NBA G League title in 2021. On November 3, 2021, he made his NBA debut with Golden State in the following season.

Born and raised in the Washington, D.C., region, Dowtin Jr. played collegiately at Rhode Island for four seasons. During the 2019–20 season, he started all 29 games as a senior and finished with 13.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.3 steals in 35.6 minutes per game. During Dowtin Jr.’s tenure, the Rams participated in two NCAA Tournaments (in 2017 and 2018).

With the 76ers, Dowtin Jr. will wear number 11.
