After stepping up communication with Rangers, Trabzonspor is expected to extend an offer to sign John Lundstram, according to Fotomac.

The Turkish news source stated on their website on April 19 that the Ibrox club extended the 30-year-old midfielder’s contract past this summer, but they haven’t been able to reach a deal thus far.

This has prompted Trabzonspor to reconvene and make a fresh offer, hastening the negotiations to bring him to Turkey. As per sources, the team is almost finalizing an agreement to sign Borna Barisic on a free transfer.

Are the Rangers about to lose some important players?
This year’s summer transfer window at Ibrox is likely to be quite hectic since there are some significant decisions to be made.

Philippe Clement is not thrilled about the scenario because six players have contracts expiring at the end of the current campaign, but several of those players haven’t even been in the manager’s game plans.

Barisic was the team’s first-choice left defender until Ridvan Yilmaz injured him, but Lundstram has consistently been the manager’s first option in midfield, so his departure would be problematic.

The club’s future plans would be hampered if he left on a free transfer, and they would lose a valuable player without receiving any compensation to replace him.

In a perfect world, the club would be aware of what is going on and able to make plans accordingly, but it appears that they are unaware of the current circumstances, and things are getting worse.
