Following the hiring of new offensive line coach AJ Blazek, the Wisconsin football program has been aggressively pursuing in-state four-star offensive lineman Owen Strebig.

Recent recruiting visits to Madison were conducted by the star student from Catholic Memorial High School. When Strebig was still at UW, offensive lineman Yosh Nijman of the Packers informed him that he would be representing Wisconsin and Green Bay at the Nike Next Ones tournament in Las Vegas.

Owen Strebig, a target for Wisconsin football, will represent the Green Bay Packers in Las Vegas

During the week of Super Bowl 58, Strebig will go to Las Vegas, where he will join some other top high school recruits for an elite camp and take part in various special events. Every NFL team will be able to send one or more prospects to the gathering.

Strebig is ranked No. 1 in Wisconsin, No. 13 in overtime, and No. 127 in the country based on the industry-generated aggregate rankings.

The Waukesha native has received a total of 25 offers; the most recent ones came from Northwestern and Rutgers. Strebig has visited UW several times, the most recent being two weeks ago, but they will have to contend with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in order to entice the four-star talent.

Wisconsin, Michigan, Notre Dame, Illinois, Iowa, Florida State, USC, Missouri, Florida, Miami, and UCF were among the top-11 selections made by Strebig last month. A pledge from another in-state offensive lineman, Michael Roeske, would make the 6-foot-8, 295-pound lineman an invaluable addition to the Badgers.

Right now, the Wisconsin football program has commitments for the 2025 cycle from Landyn Locke, Cooper Catalano, Cody Haddad, Michael Roeske, Jaimier Scott, Remington Moss, and Brenden Anes, making it the nation’s No. 10 recruiting class.

To Strebig, congratulations on this great honor and chance
