BREAKING NEWS: The English winger from Fulham is contemplating a summer transfer valued at £5.2 million.

Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers are potential contenders for Wolfsburg’s Jonas Wind this summer, should he express a desire to depart from the German club.

According to Wolfsburger Allgemeine Aller-Zeitung, both Premier League teams have shown interest in the striker. Despite Wind’s recent goal drought of 14 games, his performance hasn’t deterred interest from English clubs.

Wind’s proficiency as a ‘typical box player,’ adept at controlling and finishing balls, along with his strength in aerial duels and composed presence in front of goal, is highly regarded by both Fulham and Wolves. Additionally, his fluency in English promises seamless integration into any English squad.

While Fulham and Wolves are currently monitoring Wind, his recent lack of goals hasn’t dissuaded their interest. Wind himself has expressed openness to playing in the Premier League but isn’t actively seeking a move, nor are Wolfsburg eager to offload him. Both parties value their current arrangement.

However, the situation may evolve in the summer, especially if Wind performs well in Euro 2024 with Denmark and Wolfsburg fail to secure European qualification this season. In such a scenario, Wind might seek a transfer, and Wolfsburg aims to secure a lucrative deal. Having acquired Wind for €12 million in 2022, Wolfsburg anticipates a fee at least double that amount, valuing the striker at €25 million – a factor Fulham and Wolves need to consider.
