BREAKING NEWS: The Wisconsin Badgers are planning a huge recruiting weekend.

This weekend, Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin Badgers staff will welcome a big number of prospective recruits for junior day visits in hopes of expanding the football program.

In January, the Badgers were only able to bring four targets onto campus because of bad weather. They did, however, successfully close out three of those recruits, obtaining promises from Brenden Anes, Cody Haddad, and Jaimier Scott.

Two groups are scheduled to visit UW: one on Saturday and the other on Sunday.

Talented Junior Day Recruiting Guest List Hosted by Wisconsin Football

On the upcoming Saturday, the Wisconsin football coaching staff is set to host a duo of promising running backs for visits. Four-star recruit Byron Louis from Florida, who currently has a crystal ball prediction favoring Ohio State, has listed the Wisconsin Badgers among his top 10 finalists. Meanwhile, Chase Garnett from Texas, though not holding an offer at present, has expressed that receiving one from Wisconsin could position the Badgers at the top of his preferences.

The recruiting efforts extend to the wide receiver position, with newly offered three-star Davion Chandler from Indiana confirming his attendance at junior day. Additionally, in-state wide receiver Cameron Russell, holding a preferred walk-on offer from UW, is set to visit, and the coaching staff is keen on securing his commitment.

Defensively, the Badgers are making strides in recruiting two linemen. Brad Fitzgibbon from Illinois and Middleton defensive end Torin Pettaway are scheduled to visit. There’s speculation that Wisconsin may extend an offer to Pettaway, especially considering the heightened interest from other Power 5 programs in recent times.

As the recruiting visits unfold, it will be interesting to see how Wisconsin positions itself in the pursuit of these talented prospects.

Wisconsin football quarterback commit Landy Locke also announced on X that he would be visiting Madison.

Wisconsin Badgers Sunday Slate for Recruiting

The Sunday lineup of visitors for the Wisconsin Badgers holds significant importance, complementing the significance of the Saturday grouping.

Two standout prospects for the open outside linebacker position are four-star edge rushers Jayden Woods and Austin Alexander. These recruits boast impressive pedigrees, making them arguably the top-tier prospects attending the junior day, with the potential to make a significant impact on the game.

Adding to the list is three-star safety Jussiah Williams-West from Dayton, Ohio, who is poised to explore Madison. Wisconsin seems to be in a favorable position with Williams-West, and given the expected need for one more safety in the 2025 recruiting class, the question arises if the coaching staff will intensify efforts to secure his commitment, especially with Cody Haddad and Jaimier Scott already claiming two spots.

Notably, Wisconsin football quarterback Mabrey Mettauer will be accompanied by his high school teammate, four-star wideout Quanell Farrakhan, during the visit. It’s worth mentioning that Farrakhan has a crystal ball prediction linking him to Penn State.

Lastly, four-star tight end Marshall Pritchett from Georgia took to social media to announce that he would visit Madison on Sunday.

This is a massive weekend for Wisconsin football on the recruiting trail—and there will undoubtedly be more visitors than I’ve been able to confirm. Hopefully, the Badgers coaching staff can keep things rolling and add to its growing number of 2025 commits.

The recruiting trail is heating up for Wisconsin football this weekend, and more guests than I’ve been able to confirm will surely be in attendance. With any luck, the Badgers coaching staff can maintain the current momentum and attract more 2025 pledges.
