Breaking report: Birmingham City braced for Alex Cochrane and Christoph Klarer blows….
Keshi Anderson will miss today’s trip to Barnsley after becoming the first player from Birmingham City to receive five yellow cards in League One against Stockport in the middle of the week.
To their credit, the Blues are now ranked fourth in Transfermarkt’s Fair Play chart and are among the best-behaved League One teams.
Dion Sanderson was sent off during the Carabao Cup triumph at Charlton in August, while captain Krystian Bielik was sent off for two bookable infractions against Wrexham.
Anderson, 29, is the third Blues player to incur a suspension this season and two players are walking the tightrope on four yellow cards. Christoph Klarer and Alex Cochrane are both one booking away from a ban.
Klarer has been treading the line for a while now having picked up his fourth caution against Bolton, meaning the Austrian has played five league matches without being carded. Cochrane, meanwhile, collected his fourth booking in the win over Stockport last time out.
