According to FootballTransfers, Everton is seriously considering replacing Jarrad Branthwaite by bringing in Daniel Ballard from Sunderland in the summer.

Ballard is allegedly being closely watched by Everton, and Sunderland is anticipated to make a bid of about £20 million for the former Arsenal defender.

That would be excellent news for the Gunners, as a possible deal would benefit Arsenal.
Football.London claims that the Gunners worked out a “significant” sell-on clause for Ballard’s 2022 move.

You would anticipate hearing further information about the precise proportion Arsenal had been able to negotiate if and when Ballard’s sale goes through, even though that information was not made public.

Ballard’s first signing to Arsenal only cost £2 million, but it appears that they may be planning to increase that sum in the upcoming transfer windows.

Along with his 21 international appearances for Northern Ireland, Ballard has made 33 appearances for Sunderland in the Championship this season.

The center back is a regular for his nation; in November, he made his debut against Finland in a European Championship qualifying match.
