BREAKING: Shay Given shares information about Gary O’Neil that Wolves supporters won’t want to hear.

On Match of the Day 2 last night, Shay Given praised Gary O’Neil, but he also made a point that many Wolves supporters would hate to think about.

With their 1-0 victory over Sheffield United at Molineux on Sunday, Wolves rose to eighth place in the Premier League standings.

Wanderers put on a strong first half performance, with the “excellent” Pablo Sarabia scoring with a well-placed header, but for some reason, the second half saw a complete collapse in play.

That was disappointing, but in the end, the outcome is what counts, and Gary O’Neil is giving supporters hope. It was impossible to find European football when he first arrived, but the search is now firmly underway.

Given believes O’Neil has made a splash and that he will have attracted attention to himself.

Shay Given says Gary O’Neil could be wanted by other teams as he delivers the “shop window” ruling.
Given made an appearance on Match of the Day 2 last night to provide analysis on the Wolves vs. Sheffield United match.

The game wasn’t all that good. In the second half, neither side produced much quality play, and Molineux was undoubtedly nervous as Sheffield United looked to equalize.

Fortunately, it never materialized, and as of right now, Wolves have won 11 league games this season, which is equal to how many they won the entire previous campaign.

Like the majority of Wolves supporters, Given is astounded by the work O’Neil has done, but he believes that recognition for his efforts is imminent. “It’s unbelievable, and you consider the summer they had as well,” he remarked. He had three or four days, I believe, to get ready for the Premier League. Nunes, Neves, Collins, Coady, and Jimenez were among the names I just jotted down; they had to be sold in order to balance the books. Therefore, his performance under these constraints and with Financial Fair Play is simply amazing.

“I know the Wolves fans watching are probably wondering, ‘Why is he saying that?’ but he’s done a brilliant job. He’s really put himself in the shop window.” What a fascinating young manager he is.

Soon, O’Neil will be a man of interest.
Given what O’Neil has accomplished at Wolves in such a short period of time and with such little funding, it seems likely that some teams will be eager to try to sign the 40-year-old. He’s probably already on the radar for some people.

However, supporters would like to think that O’Neil would be dependable and stay put if a major club made an offer.

He has accomplished more at the club than just scoring more points than anticipated.

He has created a very strong bond between the players and the fans and has brought the dressing room together, fostering unprecedented levels of team spirit, cohesion, and togetherness.

He also always speaks really well, and it’s been entertaining to watch the football on display.
