After dealing away four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers proved to the NFL at the end of the 2023 season that their offense would not lose a beat. In their final ten games of the season, the Packers finished 7-3, including a convincing victory against the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round.

The Packers have now added another player to their offensive line.

The Green Bay Packers Sign Addition To Offense

According to 247 Sports, Matt LaFleur, the coach of the Green Bay Packers, has appointed Eddie Gordon as an assistant offensive line coach.

Gordon assisted in creating Georgia’s dominant offensive line before taking over as UAB’s offensive line coach in 2023.

Former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer, the coach at UAB, said last year, “We are so lucky to get Eddie Gordon to join our staff here at UAB.” “Eddie played a key role in shaping two offensive lines that won national championships. He is well regarded in the community of offensive linemen and has been instrumental in Georgia’s recent victories.
Gordon served as a quality control coach in 2022 after serving as a graduate assistant for the Bulldogs’ offensive line in 2019–2021. Georgia not only won back-to-back championships but also qualified for four New Year’s Six bowls during Gordon’s tenure, including victories in the 2020 Peach Bowl and the 2019 Sugar Bowl.

Georgia was fourth in the country in 2022 and sixth in 2021 in terms of sacks allowed during their 29-1 dominating run. Their rushing attack was among the top 20 as well.

Before coming to Georgia, Gordon played for Louisiana for two seasons (2017–18). He served as the offensive line graduate assistant for the Ragin’ Cajuns in 2017 and as the assistant strength and conditioning coach and director of player development for the squad in 2018.
