Lazio made a $14 million offer for Sunderland’s Jack Clarke, a winger.

The 23-year-old has drawn interest from West Ham, Brentford, and Burnley, but Sunderland wants to keep him.

Tottenham holds onto a 25% sell-on.

Since the summer, negotiations have been ongoing regarding the winger’s contract extension. This season, he has scored 13 goals in 29 Championship appearances.

However, the Wearside team hasn’t been able to get his signature yet.

Sunderland and the player are still in negotiations to prolong his time at the Stadium of Light, although better conditions have not yet been agreed upon.

Clarke’s potential exit was downplayed by Black Cats sporting director Kristjaan Speakman last week, as the team is committed to keeping its finest players at the Stadium of Light.

“I hear about players being sold, but our goal is to keep our best players, help them grow, and help them advance in the league,” Speakman stated.

“I understand that selling players can cause anxiety, but we all have a passion for certain players, and our goal is to hold onto them and help them grow.”
