The Tennessee Titans kicked off the NFL’s free-agency frenzy with a significant move on Wednesday, securing wide receiver Calvin Ridley on a lucrative four-year, $92 million contract.

Ridley’s arrival adds firepower to the Titans’ offense, providing second-year quarterback Will Levis with two 1,000-yard receivers to target in the 2024 season.

In 2023, DeAndre Hopkins led the Titans with 75 receptions for 1,057 yards and seven touchdowns, while Ridley posted impressive numbers for the Jacksonville Jaguars with 76 receptions for 1,016 yards and eight touchdowns. Notably, Ridley achieved these statistics after serving an NFL suspension in 2022 for betting on league games.

Selected in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Ridley showcased his talent early, contributing to Alabama’s CFP national-championship team before transitioning to the NFL. Throughout his career, he has amassed 324 receptions for 4,358 yards and 36 touchdowns in 66 regular-season games.

Ridley spent his initial four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons before joining the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2023 via a trade that involved a fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and a third-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

With $50 million guaranteed in his new contract, Ridley’s average annual value exceeds his total earnings from his first five NFL seasons, which amounted to $22.245 million.
