Savion Riley, previously with Miami and Vanderbilt, will bring valuable competition to Colorado’s defensive backfield. Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 202 pounds, Riley made his commitment to the Buffaloes after an official visit last Saturday. He was part of the first-team defense at Miami during spring practice, alongside Jaden Harris. Notably, Riley attracted interest from several other programs including Georgia Tech, Michigan, Missouri, and Penn State in the past weeks.

Riley emphasized the significance of genuine growth in his recent interview with 247Sports regarding his forthcoming decision. In 2023, he contributed as a rotational player at Vanderbilt, accumulating 48 tackles over 343 defensive snaps. His Pro Football Focus grade for last season was 63.0. Hailing from Acworth (Ga.) Kennesaw Mountain, Riley has three years of eligibility remaining to play with the Buffaloes.
