Carl Cain, a former Hawkeye All-American, passes away aged 89..

KCRG – IOWA CITY, Iowa According to a University of Iowa press statement, Carl Cain, who aided in leading the Hawkeyes to two Final Fours in 1955 and 1956, passed away on Sunday.
One of the “Fabulous Five” was Cain. The Hawkeyes have retired his number, 21.
Cain competed for the United States in 1956 and took home a gold medal from the Olympics in Melbourne.
