After Kaka in the 2005–06 Serie A season, Christian Pulisic became the first midfielder for AC Milan to score more than ten goals.

Consequently, what happened?

As the second-place club in Serie A defeated Cagliari 5-1, Pulisic was in outstanding form. In the Italian premier division, the USMNT player scored his 19th goal of the year, including two to tie and then surpass Kaka’s 18-year record.

THE LARGER IMAGEDespite having a rough season ending, the 25-year-old has had a fantastic start to life in Milan. The Rossoneri are 18 points behind city rivals Inter, who easily won the league, despite having almost secured second place in the division.

The former Chelsea player participated in the Champions League final as the first male American. Pulisic was a member of the team that won their second championship in 2021 by defeating Manchester City. As a result, he became the first American to win the tournament.

WHAT NEXT FOR PULISIC?

Pulisic will be hoping to carry his form into the 2024-25 campaign but he has work to do over the summer. The Copa America is being held in his home nation and he will likely be part of history as the USMNT compete in the tournament for just the fifth time.
