A co-founder of BIG3 thinks Caitlin Clark’s representatives hid the league’s generous offer to the former Iowa standout.

Jeff Kwatinetz, CEO of BIG3, penned an opinion piece that OutKick released on Wednesday. Kwatinetz provided information about the offer the BIG3 basketball league made to Clark in the article.

He claims that the $10 million over two years that the BIG3 offered to Clark comprised ownership of a portion of the team, a fifty percent revenue share on products bearing her name and likeness, and ownership of a documentary featuring the BIG3 with a seven-figure advance.

Furthermore, Clark might have joined the WNBA with their offer.

However, Kwatinetz thinks he has proof that Clark’s operatives never even told her about the deal.

“I became aware of the Big3 initiative at the same moment as each of you,” Clark was cited last month. “To be honest, I don’t really discuss those topics with anyone. My other acquaintances who handle it haven’t mentioned anything to me about it. My primary concern is this squad and figuring out how to defeat Colorado so that we can, hopefully, win another game.

In his article, Kwatinetz made note of the Department of Justice’s ongoing investigation into possible antitrust breaches involving the NBA. He might interpret Clark’s admission that she never received the BIG3’s offer as proof that the NBA and WNBA are acting in an anti-competitive manner toward the BIG3.

With the Indiana Fever of the WNBA, Clark has a four-year contract that pays her less than $100,000 each season. Her endorsement deals will net her a lot more money.
