Colts fans have spoken…

NFL schedule disclosure day has passed, and although no team emerged victorious, the Indianapolis Colts (+1.5)

Week 12 (November 24) finds head coach Dan Campbell’s young, NFC runner-up Detroit Lions visiting the cozy confines of Lucas Oil Stadium:

The Colts and Lions last played against one another in Week 8 of 2020 (November 1, 2020), when Indianapolis won 41-21—as veteran quarterback Philip Rivers threw for 3 passing touchdowns and 262 receiving yards.

One remaining question this offseason is whether Colts general manager Chris Ballard will still look to shore up his secondary with a significant veteran upgrade. Somewhat suprisingly, half of Colts fans (50%) believe that cornerback is the team’s biggest deficiency, besting safety at 37%:

The Colts’ top three outside cornerbacks at the moment are Jaylin Jones, Dallis Flowers, and JuJu Brents. Although that young cornerback group has some talent, it needs experience, and Flowers is recovering from an Achilles tear that ended his season.

The Colts’ cornerback depth was severely reduced last season due to injuries and Isaiah Rodgers’ season-long suspension; the latter was declared free shortly after. Ultimately, no substantial reinforcements were signed. Could they take the chance of making the same error twice? Colts fans, half of them, sure hope not.

We appreciate everyone who filled out the survey!
