Coventry City returns to Wembley for the fourth time under Mark Robins’ second tenure as head coach this weekend, as they face Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final.

Coventry City fans can purchase the club’s iconic striped FA Cup-winning shirt from the club’s store ahead of this weekend’s FA Cup semi-final clash against Manchester United at Wembley. The Sky Blues are returning to the renowned stadium, marking their fourth visit in the last seven years under Mark Robins’ leadership, where they have emerged victorious twice.

Returning to 1987, Coventry City last secured significant silverware at the old Wembley Stadium, culminating in a memorable final victory over Tottenham Hotspur. During their journey to the final, they notably defeated Manchester United at Old Trafford in the fourth round, courtesy of Keith Houchen’s goal, adding to the rich history of the club.

The iconic sky blue and white striped kit worn by that famous team at Wembley is now available for supporters to purchase ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final. The shirt will be on sale from 9:30 on Tuesday, April 16, and can be bought from either the club’s CBS Arena store or the club shop in the West Orchards Shopping Centre, while stocks last. Please note that it will not be available for purchase online.

The kit is described as an authentic replica of the one worn by Cyrille Regis and his teammates during their historic 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur. It includes the Granada Bingo sponsor logo on the torso and features the ‘FA Cup Final – Wembley 1987’ emblem alongside the club’s badge from that era.

As of Monday, Coventry City has sold approximately 34,000 tickets for the semi-final match. Supporters are encouraged to purchase their tickets promptly if they plan to attend, as the initial allocation of 34,000 has already been sold out, leaving only the supplementary allocation of 2,000 tickets available.
