Details of Arizona football head coach Brent Brennan’s contract

The terms of Brent Brennan’s new contract as head coach at the University of Arizona were made public.

The Arizona Board of Regents will still have to approve the contract.

A five-year contract has been agreed upon by coach Brent Brennan.

His annual salary is:

2.2 million dollars in the first year.
2.4 million dollars in the second year.
2.6 million dollars for the third year.
2.8 million dollars for the fourth year.
3 million dollars for the fifth year.

Additionally, the contract includes an extra $500,000 a year to:

Participate in fundraising events and activities.
Participate in speaking engagements and community events.
Participate in football promotional activities.

Coach Brennan will sign separate contracts worth $200,000 a year with Learfield and $200,000 a year with Nike.

The contract further stipulates that “for a period of one year after termination of the agreement by the coach, the coach will not perform services as a football coach (head coach or assistant coach) or football consultant for any other university in Big 12 Conference.”
