One day, the New York Yankees might acquire a former Boston Red Sox player.

Recently, there have been a lot of speculations around New York as the team wants to strengthen its bullpen. The Yankees are not alone in their search for bullpen support; there are still a few intriguing options available.

Among the group of pitchers seeking a new home is a former member of the Red Sox. According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, New York “have talked” to former Boston reliever Ryan Brasier about a potential transaction. Brasier is available.

“The Yankees, currently focused on bullpen pieces, have talked to Héctor Neris, Phil Maton, Ryan Brasier, and Wandy Peralta,” Heyman stated. However, it is said that they are offering low bids, maybe as a result of the calendar or a perception of supply and demand. They might instead bring back Keynan Middleton, as stated by Jack Curry of YES. He would be less expensive.”

Brasier’s time in Boston was undoubtedly divisive. He became a member of the Red Sox in 2018 and won the World Series with great success. After more than five seasons with Boston, Brasier struggled towards the end of his career, finishing with an overall 4.55 ERA in 222 appearances.
