Despite not recording any stats in his freshman season with the Houston Cougars, Harrison-Pilot, a highly-rated prospect, has four years of eligibility remaining.He was a 4-star recruit in the class of 2023, ranked 193rd nationally and 35th in Texas by 247Sports composite rankings. Coming from Temple, Texas, he received offers from numerous prestigious programs, highlighting his potential.

With his impressive speed, Mikal Harrison-Pilot might find himself in action as a kickoff returner, although Tech already relies on senior Drae McCray for that role.
